Eh anong masama dun?

"However I forgot that the hub was in Dubai and the majority of the OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) were stationed there. The duty-free shop was overrun with Filipino workers selling cell phones and perfume. Meanwhile, I wanted to slash my wrist at the thought of being trapped in a plane with all of them.”

Sayang.

"While I was on the plane (where the seats were so small I had bruises on my legs)…, I heaved a sigh, popped my sleeping pills and dozed off to the sounds of gum chewing and endless yelling of “HOY! Kumusta ka na? At taga san ka? Domestic helper ka rin ba?” I though I had died and God had sent me to my very own private hell."

"On my way back, I had to bravely take the economy flight once more. This time I had already resigned myself to being trapped like a sardine in a sardine can with all these OFWs smelling of AXE and Charlie cologne while Jo Malone evaporated into thin air."

Eto:

"As I type this, I’d like you to know that it’s not about whining, complaining and bitching but just stating the facts. Just recently, I wrote a funny article in my magazine column and my friends thought it was hilarious. It was humorous and quite tongue-in-cheek, or at least I thought so, until the magazine got a few e-mails from people who didn’t get the meaning of my acerbic wit. The bottom line was just that I had offended the reader’s socioeconomic background. If any of these people actually read anything thicker than a magazine they would find it very funny ..."

I get what malu fernandez's trying to say on her article, that it was only meant to be joke on her part.. meaning the cramp seat because she’s a large woman, the strong cent of perfume in the air which will irritate anybody’s nose and the loud noise while she’s trying to sleep.. unfortunately that joke was meant for her friends in the socialite and fashionista world, clearly she didn’t think about the rest of us middle class who would read about it when she wrote that piece of crap, which is a no-no in our society.. now she’s a marked woman because her ego got the best of her.. poor girl..

Last I heard, Manila Standard or People Asia didn’t accepted her resignation.. freedom of speech they say.. what a bummer!!..

someone, people can force those publishers to accept her resignation. i-boycott ang papers nila

was she trying to prove how much of a socialite, rich or so-si she is by writting such offensive things? these just proves what an idiot she is. if she doesnt want to be with be other filipinos, she should have told her parent, grandparents, kids (if she have any) and all her ancestors to, according to her own words "slash my wrist at the thought of being trapped in a plane with all of them".

and what is up with her crocodile apology? was that another insulto? did she just say that we are so stupid not to get her "acerbic wit"?

she is pissing me off. proves you cant buy intelligence and class with money.

paki lakasan na nga ang batok when you see her. better yet, subsob mo mukha sa putik.

dinig ko nagresign nga siya, and she wrote an apology on the issue. pero kung di nga tinanggap ng publisher resignation niya (pwede kaya yun? ano kaya kontrata niya with the publisher?), this reflects a lot on the extent and social responsibility of the publisher or editor. ewan lang.

well my shits smell like Drakkar Noir waahihihi (joke).. seriously maybe because shes bitter or something thats why her apology is not that sincere, who knows.. to boycott a paper or a magazine takes a lot of work and persuasion to be effective writer.. lets just hope she learn her mistake, let us just hope there wont be another malu out there..

arcibald, you're right. it is no longer an issue about ms. fernandez alone but of her editors/publishers as well. now i'm starting to think that maybe ms. fernandez' family is a big stockholder of the magazine company that's why she was able to write her "funny and hilarious" articles there.

someone, we can also boycott the magazines' advertisers... nah, that's still a lot of work. maka-ebs na nga lang... harummmfff...

nagpapatawa sya at the expense of others tama ba naman yun? sino kaya ngayon ang katawatawa. sa akin kasi yun ang pinakawalang kwentang klase ng pagpapatawa kaya di ako nanunuod ng mga comedy shows daw sa Library bar kung alam nyo yung mga ganun.

paolo said...

errrr--- di ko din alam yun. homeboy kasi ako :P kanya-kanya lang sigurong sense of humor lang. basta kapag alam mong nagpapatawa, dont take it seriously na lang...
